Eastland is a premium retail and lifestyle destination, boasting striking architecture, high-end interior design and servicing the eastern suburbs of Melbourne.
Following an impressive expansion of the asset back in 2017, we were engaged to develop the existing wayfinding system, to create a retail driven, future- proofed and legible design outcome.
We collaborated with Abuzz to develop the touch screens, focusing on colour schemes, hold screen designs, graphics and terminology to ensure alignment with the built environment.
Our design process involved the assessment and development of the scale, colour, information design and fabrication methodology across the existing system. Responding to unique site requirements, we also designed additional elements including a custom totem for the Town Square, inspired by the distinctive pattern of the surrounding pavers.
In the car park we refined messaging, introduced supergraphics and instated new car park colour identities, to aid the return journey and guide patrons to ‘best for parking’.
We take pride in our role as wayfinding consultants for this notable project, and of our contribution to creating an exceptional experience that aligns with QIC’s vision.
